AQC Traffic Control is a growing provider of temporary traffic control and work zone safety services; we provide critical traffic safety services to the utility construction market. The Dispatch Coordinator will be responsible for performing a variety of scheduling and dispatching tasks. Primarily responsible for the scheduling and routing of customer job requests, field personnel, vendors, equipment deliveries; receives daily logs, and tracks field rental equipment.

  • Perform related duties as assigned by Operations Manager / HR Manager / Controller
  • Maintain compliance with all AQC’s policies and procedures
  • Receive incoming calls in professional and courteous manner; ensure escalated client service issues are addressed promptly and efficiently, while providing the highest level of quality customer service
  • Place outbound calls to clients to proactively schedule / coordinate job requests
  • Coordinate, schedule, and dispatch field personnel, contractors, and appropriate company vehicles or equipment to job site
  • Encourages a positive working relationship to ensure client’s jobs are properly serviced; including identifying issues and resolving client’s disputes as they arise. Escalating to Operations Manager as needed
  • Monitor employee time-off requests and call-outs; use organizational data to predict staffing needs
  • Design dashboard to report on key scheduling and dispatch metrics
  • Develop scheduling and dispatch procedures to help drive operational and financial improvement
  • Responsible for capturing incoming cancellations and rescheduling accordingly
  • Perform administrative functions including data entry, accurate billing audit of job tickets, and field equipment inventory
  • Ensure client’s service requirements are met / exceeded.
  • Early morning availability, nights, and weekend hours are required to meet customer requests. Must maintain availability via phone and email to communicate with customers, field personnel, and contractors for after-hours and emergency calls (can be done remotely)
  • Perform other duties as needed which may include cross-training in related positions

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Construction knowledge is a required; MUTCD knowledge preferred
  • High school diploma or GED and equivalent experience required; Associate degree or technical certification preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of previous verifiable Truck / Construction Dispatch experience preferred
  • 2 years of experience in an operations environment, preferably a dispatch or operational function
  • 2 years of experience in a customer service position.
  • 2 years of experience in data entry and computer applications with a high degree of accuracy, thoroughness, analytical skills
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Hours: · Monday – Friday · 8 am – 6 pm
