Position Summary:

The Donor Relations Manager establishes, maintains, and grows connections between Homes of Hope and its local and statewide community. Creating and strengthening donor relationships is central to the Donor Relations Manager position, with the primary role being responsibility for operating, maintaining, and enhancing the use of Homes of Hope’s donor database, including gift entry and acknowledgment, queries and reporting, and records management and review.

The Donor Database Manager also supports events, mailings, and other important efforts to serve and engage HOH stakeholders, which include: donors, Solid Rock Club members, grantors, Board, and staff.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Donor Database Management
o Establish best practices and create and maintain a donor database procedure manual
o Create new constituent records and coordinate other database entries as needed
o Review and update records regularly to maintain database integrity
o Create and manage all mail files
o Create complex queries, lists, exports, mail merges, and reports on an ongoing and as-needed basis
o Create and manage event records and registrations
o Provide regular database training and assist staff as needed with database questions
o Keep up to date on software capabilities and opportunities to refine
o Establish best practices and develop and maintain database operating procedures for staff use
o Tracks and reports donor retention rate, first-time gifts, etc.
o Generates weekly reports for RDD
o Generates end-of-year donation receipts
o Manages a personal portfolio of donors and enters pertinent notes
o Writes thank you notes, invitations, newsletters, emails, makes phone calls, etc.
· Gift Processing
o Process all donations and create/coordinate gift acknowledgment
o Coordinate gift batch export process with the Finance Department
o Create and manage pledges, including pledge reminder letters
o Provide regular gift reporting and analysis to the Resource Development Director and other staff as appropriate
· Donor Stewardship
o Support donor engagement goals, objectives, and initiatives
o Assist with the implementation of new donor stewardship initiatives
o Serves the Resource Development Department by managing Solid Rock Club members
· Other Duties
o Attend and participate in all fundraising events.
o Occasionally represents the organization at speaking engagements, community events, and tours
o Attends workshops and participates in webinars to increase knowledge and proficiency
o Maintains weekly awareness of housing development, construction, and client impact
o Other duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications:
· Donor software management experience, Blackbaud- Raiser’s Edge preferred

Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of related experience

Working Conditions:
80% in the office; 10% outside appointments; 10% ability to work remotely

Upon Start:
• 1 day for each month following the starting month (i.e. February Start Date=10 PTO days). These days are available for
immediate use.
• Beginning January 2025 employees will receive 16 PTO days available for immediate use.

36 to 40 hours per week. Flexible arrival and departure with required work Monday-Thursday 9am-4pm and Friday 9am-3pm
