Executive Assistant – $25/Hr 

Job description 

Summary: 

As an Executive Assistant at our upscale hair salon and spa, you will be the first point of contact for clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring smooth and efficient operations of the salon and spa. You will handle administrative tasks and provide support to the salon team. Your excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to provide outstanding customer service will be key to the success of our salon.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Answer and screen phone calls, take messages, respond to inquiries, and manage the salon and spa email inbox in a timely and professional manner.
  • Promote and sell salon and spa products to clients, providing product recommendations, explaining benefits, and assisting with purchase decisions.
  • Process product sales transactions, handle cash and other forms of payment, and accurately manage the cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Maintain client records and files, including updating contact information, service history, and product purchases, while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Provide support to salon staff when needed. 
  • Collaborate with salon staff to promote products and services, and provide seamless customer service.
  • Handle general clerical tasks, such as filing, photocopying, scanning, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Assist with marketing and promotional activities, such as managing social media accounts, updating the salon and spa website, and creating and distributing marketing materials.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, including sales reports, commission tracking, and other documentation. 
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and efficient communication within the salon and spa.

Qualifications:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in business administration, sales, or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant, receptionist, or sales associate, preferably in a salon, spa, or retail environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to provide a warm and friendly welcome to clients, and effectively sell salon and spa products.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate professionally and courteously with clients, staff, and vendors.
  • Proficient in using computer software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) salon/spa management software, and social media marketing.
  • Knowledge of salon and spa services, products, and terminology is a plus.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding the salon and spa’s standards of excellence.
  • Results-oriented mindset, with a proactive approach to sales, and a goal-driven attitude.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with salon and spa staff.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings and special events as needed.

 Hours:  

Tuesday-Saturday 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
