Ground Maintenance Manager

We are seeking a highly organized, motivated, and experienced Ground Maintenance Manager to lead our landscaping and grounds maintenance operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in managing crews, overseeing contracts, controlling costs, and ensuring high-quality outdoor maintenance services.

Responsibilities
- Oversee all landscaping and grounds maintenance operations
- Lead and supervise crews performing mowing, irrigation, shrub trimming, and outdoor maintenance
- Ensure lawns, gardens, parks, and display plants remain healthy and visually appealing
- Manage existing maintenance contracts while securing new business opportunities
- Maintain profitability by keeping contracts on budget
- Oversee all equipment, tools, and supply inventory
- Develop and maintain effective cost-control systems
- Coordinate maintenance schedules and daily operations
- Estimate future projects and maintenance jobs
- Ensure all operations comply with company policies and OSHA standards
- Handle forecasting, ordering, and price negotiations for spare parts and inventory
- Develop proactive maintenance strategies to improve efficiency
- Coordinate complex repairs and specialized maintenance work
- Hire and oversee subcontractors as needed
- Identify innovative tools, methods, and assets to improve productivity and reduce costs
- Prepare and maintain maintenance and operational reports
