Job Details 

Responsible for all sales activities from lead generation through project oversight and relationship management. Develops and implements agreed upon individual Sales and Marketing Plan which will meet both personal and business goals of expanding customer base in the Center’s market. Works within the Centers management and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILIITES:

  • Develop annual sales plan with Owner or Sales Manager, detailing activities to follow during the fiscal year, which will focus the Outside Account Executive position on meeting or exceeding sales quota.
  • Demonstrates the ability to carry on a business conversation with business owners and decision makers.
  • Sells consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects and clients using the various visual communications products and solutions.
  • Identify sales prospects and make contact in small and larger organizations.
  • Develops a database of qualified leads through referrals, networking, telephone canvassing, face to face cold calling on business owners, and social networking.
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from telephone, marketing and field activity.
  • Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within their assigned territory.
  • Complete understanding of pricing and proposal models.
  • Complete all paperwork and follow established store procedures from initiation through completion of a sign project (i.e., CoreBridge Work Order, credit approvals, pre-payment collection, artwork approval, delinquent account collection, reporting).
  • Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts.
  • Prepare status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals for weekly sales meetings.
  • Assists in the implementation of company marketing plans as needed.
  • Identify and resolve client concerns.
  • Proactively establish and maintain effective team relationships with all support departments.
  • Communicate with the manager/owner about your “pipeline” of business, customers and prospects any customer issues, all aspects of design, production and fulfillment.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in marketing events such as community networking events, seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing programs.
  • Assist in collection of non-payment after 90 days.
  • Conduct or supervise minor installations (i.e., RTA).

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3 years of experience in sales; Business to Business preferred.
  • Previous construction estimating or service business experience.
  • Proven ability to achieve professional goals.
  • Ability to persuade and influence others.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
  • Ability to create, compose, and edit written material.
  • Ability to resolve problems, conflict and complex communications issues.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of emotions and obstacles in sales; emotional maturity and stability needed.

  • Strong time management, multi-tasking, project management and organizational skills
  • Maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive company image to the public.
  • Requires significant local travel to current and potential clients. This requires the possession of a valid state driver’s license.

  • Pass all assessments administered during the hiring process.
  • Personality: Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive mental outlook, and a clear focus on quality and business profit. Mature, credible, and comfortable in dealing with a variety of customers. Reliable, tolerant, and determined. Empathic communicator, able to see things from the other person’s point of view. Always presentable and businesslike. Able to get along with others and be a team-player.
  • Computer Skills: Must be adept in use of Windows Excel and Word, Internet and email.
  • Literacy and Numeracy: Able to understand profit, gross margin percentages and calculations. Must be a very competent writer of business letters, quotations and proposals.
  • Business and Selling Skills: Must be an excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator. Able to demonstrate success and experience managing major accounts and large contracts. Ideal background would be in business to business sales and service.
  • Management Ability: Though internal staff management is not initially part of the job, some people-management skills, experience and natural ability will be useful.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office and a light manufacturing environment. Report to the Owner or store General Manager.
  • Work may require occasional overnight travel, weekend and/or evenings.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR FASTIGNS OUTSIDE SALES TEAM MEMEBR:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in an outside sales/commission based environment preferred
  • Prior B2B consultative sales experience preferred
  • Knowledge of sales pipeline development and sales tools
  • Prior experience in a sign and graphics environment is a plus
